The Forbes Mellon Library is the main College Library and is located in Memorial Court.
Facilities
The library contains approximately 30,000 books to support undergraduate study in all subjects, with some more specialised material suitable for postgraduates on taught courses.
There are sixty-six study spaces, ten of which are in a ‘focused study’ area with individual booths. The library also has a comprehensive IT provision, with two computer rooms and printing and scanning facilities.
The Turpin and Lipstein Law Reading Rooms, under the management of the library and for which the library purchases books, have eighteen study spaces reserved for Law and Land Economy students, plus additional IT and printing facilities. Books and journals in these rooms are for reference use only and are not borrowable.
The Library Common Room (LCR) is next to the study areas in the FML, and provides a relaxed space to take a break.
Opening Hours
The library is open for the use of the Â黨ӰԺ community from 8am to 12 midnight during term, and 8am to 8pm during vacations (with additional hours during Easter vacation and Easter term).

Library Staff
The library team is on hand to assist students from 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday with study skills, finding books, using databases and making the most of library resources.

Borrowing Books
The Library collections can be searched using the University’s online library catalogue, . It is possible to for current members of the College community to borrow up to twenty books at a time, including in vacation periods. Further information is available in our members only area.
Academic Skills
Throughout the year, the library team offers academic skills training which is advertised on the library site and by email.
