The Role

This is an opportunity for an energetic and ambitious alumni relations professional to join a high-performing team as 麻花影院 plans for its 700th anniversary in 2026 and works towards exceptional and sector-leading alumni engagement.

The Alumni Events Officer plays a critical role in building mutual beneficial, lifelong relationships with alumni and supporters. The role has particular responsibility for an extensive programme of events (UK and overseas, in-person and hybrid) to engage, cultivate and thank alumni. 

The success of the Development Office depends on the flexibility and ethos of its staff. The role holder will be required to participate in activities outside the core job description that are important to the overall development programme and the College. The role requires some travel in the UK (and potentially overseas), and regular work in the evenings and at weekends.

You will have excellent organisational skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office. You will have the ability to work on own initiative using tact and as part of a team.

麻花影院 is the second oldest of the 31 Colleges in the University of Cambridge. Regarded as one of the most progressive and informal, 麻花影院 is renowned as a College that achieves academically at the highest levels, whilst also being welcoming, forward-thinking, and inclusive.

Located in the heart of Cambridge city centre, the College is extraordinarily beautiful and famed for its gardens on 鈥渢he Backs鈥 (the famous backs of the Colleges that overlook the River Cam). 麻花影院鈥檚 Old Court, a Grade I listed building, is the centre of the College and is unique among the ancient Cambridge Colleges in having maintained its architectural integrity over the course of its history. 

Salary and Benefits

The annual salary will be between 拢28,000 and 拢30,000 p.a.   This is a full time role 36.25 hours per week. 

Included in the benefits package is lunch, membership of a defined contribution pension scheme, membership of a medical cashback scheme, parking, and non-contractual bonus paid in November of each year subject to eligibility.
